Wisdom of God
The Epistle of the Apostle James resembles the Sapiential Books of the Old Testament and like these emphasizes the need for wisdom, the mother of all sciences. The Word of God is the wisdom that comes from above (James 3:17).
In James 3 the apostle tells us about the false and the true wisdom and describes the characteristics of divine wisdom: But the wisdom that is from above; is first pure, an then peaceable, gentle, open to reason. James 3:17. Here we see a description of the divine wisdom (Word of God) for their characteristics. But why is that so? Wisdom has its origin in the desire for the good, the desire for the good is progressive or to say is edyfing, and expansive that means diffusive. These are the intrinsic characteristics of the desire for the good, the substance of God. This kind of wisdom is also free from error because is accurate and exact, resolve something with wisdom is to resolve accurately and exactly. With no error. This kind of wisdom is related to the faculties of the spirit, wich are: intuition, inspiration, creativity and empathy. Only when we speak with Wisdom we are empathic . Without wisdom there is no empathy. That is why the wisdom that comes from above, the wisdom of the spirit is conciliatory, benevolent and peaceful.
The opposite of divine wisdom is the "spirit of discord", this "spirit" if you can call it so, brings to fruition the deeds of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). Where there is discord, jealousy and greed comes the wars and the homicides. While some mention a "demonic wisdom" or "worldly wisdom" regarding this "spirit of discord," this is not just wisdom, but rather a compilation of "cunning experience." In life we fruits according to which "spirit" we nurture.
