The secrets of wisdom: All good things came to me along with her, and in her hands uncounted wealth
Without wisdom nothing would exist, the Bible tells us, in other words, all this beautiful harmony (perfect balance) that we observe in the universe comes from wisdom. And if everything has its origin in this science, with more reason the good things.
The search for the sensible man, the search for the truly intelligent man, is this hidden treasure, the wisdom of God, as expressed by King Solomon, author of the book of Wisdom:
"All good things came to me along with her,
and in her hands uncounted wealth.
I rejoiced in them all because wisdom leads them,
but I did not know that she was their mother" Wisdom 7:11-12.
King Solomon in this text recognizes that all his glory and riches are a consequence of well-acquired wisdom, in other words, well-established wealth is the product not of luck but of knowledge well applied progressively and gradually. That is why we say that happiness, fame, and money are apparent goals, they appear to us as ends, that is to say as desirable goods in themselves, but in reality these goods are not ends but retributions.
And wisdom not only blesses us with material goods, but also with spiritual goods, wisdom purifies us from low passions such as guilt, fear of death, in short, wisdom makes us "sons from above", "sons of the wisest":
"I learned without guile, and I impart without grudging;
I do not hide her wealth,
for it is an unfailing treasure for mortals;
those who get it obtain friendship with God,
commended for the gifts that come from instruction" Wisdom 7:13-14.
Finally, King Solomon explains to us that whoever follows the path of wisdom never loses the correct path of life, nor does he encounter problems impossible to correct, wisdom is a blessing that illuminates our minds like the morning sun.
Wisdom is the access to the mysteries and secrets of the universe, to the mysteries of life and death and to all the answers that are hidden from reason: "I learned both what is secret and what is manifest, for wisdom, the fashioner of all things, taught me" Wisdom 7:21-22.
