In search of wisdom: Those who have treasured holy things in a holy way will themselves be made holy

In search of wisdom: Those who have treasured holy things in a holy way will themselves be made holy In search of wisdom: Those who have treasured holy things in a holy way will themselves be made holy

King Solomon teaches us that it is important for everyone to seek wisdom, but this is especially important for the powerful. Many times the rich trust in their riches and the strong in their strength, but this is a deception, we can only trust in God and his eternal wisdom insists the King: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6
Like Ramses, who possessed great wealth, when he faced Moses he was defeated; and Goliath, who was the strongest man among the Philistines, fell before David; these are some examples that we cannot sustain ourselves on what worldly people value but on what comes from God. Wisdom makes us really smart and protects us from the most important thing, bad decisions; because evil is like a boomerang, it takes time but it returns to the one who does it.
The wise Solomon then teaches us in his book that God wisely judges everyone, big or small, rich or poor alike:
"You are merely stewards of his kingdom. If you don't judge rightly,
if you don't keep the Law,
or if you don't act according to God's plan,
then he'll fall upon you very suddenly and very terribly.
Judgment falls hard on those in high places.
Those who aren't important may be pardoned out of compassion,
but the powerful will be powerfully examined.
The ruler of all won't back down from anyone.
He won't show any special consideration
to someone whom others consider great.
The rule of all made both the small and the great,
and he regards them all in the same way.
But a stern judgment will fall upon the ruthless" Wisdom 6:4-8.
And with this teaching, the author of the book addresses himself especially to powerful men, because when a powerful man is also wise, he deserves glory like David, but when he is foolish, he deserves infamy. Education in a man makes the difference.
So then the sage gives his blessing teaching:
"Those who have treasured holy things in a holy way
will themselves be made holy.
Those who have been instructed in holy things
will be able to offer a defense for what they have done.
So desire my words with all your heart.
Commit yourself to them, and you will be educated" Wisdom 6:10-11.
