Spiritual wisdom to live better: Do no evil, and evil will not overtake you. Ben Sira 7:1
Wisdom teacher Ben Sira leaves us a series of tips to take into account in our dealings with others, and when we deal with our peers, everything starts from a principle, the golden rule ("Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", Matthew 7:12), we can express this rule in different ways, but the point is always the same, be assertive (precise and accurate), progressive, empathic and avoid mistakes: "Do no evil, and evil will not overtake you; avoid wickedness, and it will turn away from you. Do not sow in the furrows of injustice, lest you harvest it sevenfold" Ben Sira 7:1-3
Everything returns tell us the Bible, that's why we have to be careful with evil, and most importantly what we send can come back worse, destructiveness is never proportional like justice: "For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Hosea 8:7.
If we worship death we have to live prepared, when this is the case we cannot expect anything good from others, which is logical, because in the end, we all live with our fellow men, the good live together with the good, the bad with the bad and the worst with the worst: "Every creature prefers its own kind, and people are no different. Just as animals of the same species flock together, so people keep company with people like themselves. A sinner has no more in common with a devout person than a wolf has with a lamb" Sirach 13:15-17.
Evil coexists with those who practice it, evil is like a well, everyone tends toward the bottom, that's why among perverts, unless cultural norms avoid it such as work ethics, the worst always rule. The spiritual wisdom is necessary for everyone to live better, and it is even particularly necessary for the wicked because without wisdom the wicked become insane, and behave like loose madmen. Wisdom puts us in touch with life, with what is smooth and not rough, with what fits and makes sense, and with the correct solution of problems.
